Life Stage® One - Pediatrics To One Year (Juvenile) Beginning and 6 weeks of age with each visit 3 weeks apart
First Visit: - Comprehensive physical exam - Intestinal parasite check
- Vaccinations against distemeper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvo and corona
- Nutritional exam and counseling - Heartworm prevention
- External parasite control
Second Visit: - Comprehensive physical exam
- Intestinal parasite check - Vaccinations against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, parvo and corona
- Nutritional counseling - Dental exam and counseling - Heartworm
prevention - External parasite control
Third Visit: - Comprehensive physical exam
- Intestinal parasite check - Vaccinations against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, parvo;
vaccination against lyme/borrelia is recommended if pet is/has been exposed to ticks
- Nutritional counseling - Dental exam and counseling -
External parasite control
Fourth Visit: - Comprehensive physical exam - Intestinal parasite check
- Vaccination for distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvo and corona;
vaccination against rabies; vaccination against kennel cough (bordetella);
vaccination against lyme/borrelia is recommended if pet is/has been exposed to ticks
- Dental exam and counseling - Continue heartworm prevention and external
parasite control
6 (Six) months of age: Surgery Neutering (ovariohysterectomy/castration) is recommended at 6-9 months of age.
Breeds that are prone to hip dysplasia are recommended to have a radiological exam (x-rays) for evaluation at 6-9 months of age.
Some breeds (Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Labrador Retriever, Doberman Pinscher,
German Shepherd, and Rottweiler) that have proven immunological deficiencies are recommended a booster distemper-parvo vaccination at 6-9 months of age.
Life Stage® Two - One year to five years (Adult)
- Annual comprehensive physical exam - Annual exam for intestinal parasites
- Annual heartworm testing and prevention - Annual vaccinations against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, parvo, rabies, and bordetella
(determind by exposure, previous vaccinations, state law and veterinarian
recommendation) - Annual dental exam and counseling - Annual nutritional counseling
- Continue external parasite control
